Happy Holidys Hic! This title is not Latin, but rather English spoken by an inebriated person. He/she does not come from a foreign land, but from wherever he/she has consumed too much alcohol. The laws of the various states are fairly consistent: they consider a blood alcohol level of 0.08-0.1 and above as being too high, because at these levels, a person experiences slowed reflexes, slowed thinking and disequilibrium can be found. Therefore for that person, driving a car becomes illegal. I had an uncle, an aunt, and two cousins, one of whom was pregnant, mowed down and killed while they were fishing off a pier. The car driver was pronounced drunk, found guilty and sentenced to one year in jail. I try not to get too sensitive about it.

Anger Management Anger is the most destructive and dangerous emotion. We may hurt others when we are angry, not only with our fists but also with our words. Once spoken, hurtful words cannot be retracted. Lasting damage to friendships and marriages can result from hastily uttered words.

Anger is hazardous for your health. Blood pressure and heart rate increase when one is angry and can cause heart attacks and premature death. Hostile behavior causes more heart disease than the usual culprits like smoking, hypercholesterolemia, and obesity. Less severe consequences are muscle tension and pain.
